He Ate the Honey, He Ate the Lot....

This, my kindreds, is my VERY LAST PANEL.  The stitching on this piece is officially done, done, done!

Just look at the little greedy guts!   He's so focused on the bee hive that he has no idea he is about to be stung in the ... you-know-where!  And deservedly so!!

I have decided to finish the piece with a lined back, so if my friend wishes to use this as an afghan, she can.  I am off to Fabric Land tomorrow to find something soft and appropriate, then I have another friend lined up to sew everything together.  Then it will be a quick wash, and then in the mail.     Her baby just turned 6 months, so better late than never, I always say.

I will post a picture of the finished project as soon as I have it back.

Now I can take a short breather before I pick up my long forgotten dragon stocking.

      Thanks! I hope she likes it. I feel like I'm giving it to her kind of late, but oh well, she can use it as a cover for his first big-boy bed.

      Thanks! I think he is absolutely adorable! I love his determined little face.

      I will post pictures of the Afghan as soon as I get it back from the sewing lady. (I don't have my own sewing machine)

      My god, it feels like I have been stitching this for YEARS! I'm so glad I'm finally done! But let me tell you, it is hard going from such large stitches to such tiny ones again. I fear I may need reading glasses...

      The little blanket is all washed and drying on my kitchen table, and tomorrow I will iron it and deliver it to the sewing lady.

    You've done an incredible job on this! I loved seeing all the baby animals come to life and reading your cute descriptions. Looking forward to the big finish! It will be an amazing gift that your friend (and her baby) will treasure always.

      Thanks!! Now that I have given the Afghan away, I can say it was completely worth it, although I had my doubts in the beginning.

      It turned out adorable and the look on my friends face was priceless!

    OMGoodness, I love him! I think I might like him best because I was lucky enough to see four bears while in Alaska, they are adorable. I can't wait to see it all finished. What a lucky baby to receive this as a gift, what a great friend!

      Thanks! I think the bear was my favorite as well.

      He's such a cute little bear! Where I grew up, we'd see them occasionally. They are pretty harmless (provided you aren't between them and their cubs)
