Winter Hat Owl Page 9 Complete

Started June 6, and finished June 22.  This is my 11th HaED page finish this year.
7600 stitches.

That tiny bit of the hat was 62 colours!    62!!!   The next page will see all sorts of goodies appear. An eye, and quite a few chest feathers!   I'm so looking forward to the splashes of colour I will get to work with.   But I have a feeling this next page is going to take me a while to complete.

July will be a whirlwind for me.  I'm working crazy hours, which seriously cuts into my stitching time!  (As does picking the perfectly ripe cherries on my tree's, but I'm not complaining about THAT interruption! And for the record, I wish you all lived closer so I could unload some cherries on you, I seriously have way too many!)

This little page finish is almost like an intolerable peek-a-boo, isn't it?  I want more, more MOAR!!! But alas, it is time to pick up Adrift once again.  I'm not sure when I'll be back with another page finish for Adrift, but hopefully it won't be too long.

  2. Great job Rachel! Did I tell you that I love cherries? I have a plum tree and an Asian pear/apple but no cherries... I think we should get together for that cherry picking...

    1. Sure! I love plums! I won't be stitching this Sunday, actually I won't be there at all in July as I'm working every single weekend from now until August, but if you are going this Sunday, I could drop some down at the Muse for you.

    2. No, I'm not coming to the Muse this Sunday... I'm going to the Flying Club (big smile).

    1. Adrift is off to a good start. There aren't many colours in this page, it's mostly water, so it should be a fast stitch - work considering.
Hopefully I'll have an update for you sooner rather than later.

  4. Amazing progress!!! Can't believe there are so many colours in such a small part of the design.
Enjoy the cherries!!! Such a shame I'm far away because I'd be the first one to pay for some :)

    1. I know, right? I always draw the symbols and the numbers I will need for that particular page along the side of the pattern page. The symbols just kept coming and coming and coming. Considering the background is made up on only 3 colours of blue, the rest was all for that tiny portion of the hat.
      Incredible.

Regarding the cherries, if you lived closer, you could come and pick until your little heart burst. You could have 'em for free!

    1. It's funny, because when I started this little owl, he was supposed to be my easy project with bright colours that gave me respite from Adrift. Now it's Adrift that gives me respite from the anarchy of the owl!
      But I love them both!

  8. 11 pages finishes already? That's amazing, I'd be proud of that many in a year.
He's looking incredible, but 62 colours, that's crazy.

    1. Thanks! Yeah, I couldn't quite believe it myself when I tallied it all up. Hopefully I can manage 11 more pages before the year is out.

Ya, 62 colours was a bit extreme, but wow is the end result really something!
