Behold, my little squirrel. Just look at those adorable little eyes!
Next up is a chipmunk. I find the browns are the least favorite colors for me to work with, and I found that this little guy dragged a little. Now that he is done, I think he's cute as a button, but it just felt like such a chore to sit and stitch this particular panel, for some reason.
Tonight I resolved to finish it, and I stubbornly sat there until the last stitch was in.
Unfortunately, I believe the chipmunk is more of the same colors, but after that, it will be on to the brighter colors I prefer to stitch with.
I don't think I'll even get to him until the weekend, but I hope he is a fast stitch.
Fingers crossed.

He certainly is cute!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the browns - whenever I come up to a really bland brown part of a pattern, it takes me sooooo long to stitch through. I can't ever wait to get back to blues, purples, and pinks!

Less B*tching, More Stitching!
They really are the doldrums of stitching, aren't they?
DeleteSame with when I have a HUGE block of black or white. I find that the best remedy is to put on a good movie and mindlessly stitch.
So cute:)
ReplyDeleteHe really is, isn't he?
DeleteOh, the dreaded brown...memories of the giant Jesus head abound! Good luck and it does look amazing!
ReplyDeleteAaarrrggghhh, the browns (and sometimes the whites). I have a secret weapon for when I am stuck with a big patch of a boring color, I put on the Colin Firth version of Pride and Prejudice. Suddenly that big patch doesn't seem so big.
DeleteHe is so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's those eyes! They ramp yp the cuteness factor!
DeleteThe squirrel is so cute! This will be an amazing afghan.
ReplyDeleteThx, I think it will be tres cute too. ( that is, if I can stop working long enough to actually work on it)
DeleteHello
ReplyDeleteJust found you.
he's so cute!
Hi Bella and welcome! (And yeah, he is a pretty cute little guy, isn't he? Just wait until you see the chipmunk!)
DeleteAnother adorable critter! Don't think boring brown, think yummy chocolate!
ReplyDeleteLol, oh Astrid, that's a brilliant spin on it.
