The good and bad thing about transitioning from day shifts to night shifts is the all night stitch-fests I get to do. Of course the downside is looking at the beautiful day that today promises to be and know that I will be missing it because I will be sleeping all day.
But back to the all night stitch fests. Last night I finished page 16 of Adrift. More of that beautiful tail. I managed to finish this relatively quickly, starting the page April 19 and finishing May 7. And I am very, very nearly at a milestone. This page finish brings me up to 49% done! Nearly half-way!
I should have an update of Winter Hat Owl really soon. It's just a page of blue, and not even a full page, at that. I managed to get 100 + stitches in after I finished my page of Adrift, so I'm well on my way.
Well, it's been a long night and the sun is shining, which means it's bed time for me.
Happy stitching everyone, and I will see you all soon.

Congratulations on your page finish and your near milestone. I can't believe what difference a page of colour makes to the whole design. All of a sudden she's really come alive. She's an absolute pleasure to look at! :)
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Rach. I know, right? The color of the tail is really, really vibrant! When I saw the colors, I didn't think she would pop as much as she does, but it really makes a huge difference!
DeleteI'm completely back in love with her again!
Wow, she looks amazing and your half way point is soooo close! Sweet dreams.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to be nearly half way there! So, so excited!
DeleteLooks very nice. Congratulations for the page finish. I wish I had a job I could stitch at.
ReplyDeleteI can't stitch at my job. But I work shift work, so I do days and then nights. When I am trying to switch over to a night rotation, I sit up all night and stitch. It's like an 8 hour stitch-a-thon. And man, do I get a lot done!
DeleteAmazing! What a lovely design to be stitching on and congrats on the page finish. Nearly half way!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mii. Nearly half way! Does happy dance!! And the rest is just water and her tail, so hopefully it will be faster than the first half.
DeleteShe looks absolutely stunning. Well done on almost reaching the halfway point!
ReplyDeleteThanks Justine! I'm so happy to be half way done, I could just about cry!
DeleteBeautiful! The piece is just breathtaking. Congrats on another page finish! Do you rotate pieces after you finish a page?
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie! Yes, I do rotate after a page. I find Adrift to be a little dark with the colors, so I do a page of her and then a page of Winter Hat Owl - the picture can be found at the top of my blog, just to the left. The Owl is so colorful and vibrant that it makes a nice change from from the darker colors of Adrift. The funny thing is, I think I will be finishing these two pieces at nearly the same time. Two HaED finishes at the same time! How awesome will that be?
DeleteLooks great congrats on another page finish!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather! A page finish is always cause for celebration!
DeleteShe looks great, well done on the page finish
ReplyDeleteThank you! She's really starting to take shape and I'm over the moon happy about it!
DeleteLooking so beautiful! Congrats on a new page finish!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lauren. Hopefully I will have a Winter Hat Owl page finish shortly.

Adrift is absolutely beautiful, and I love the colour palette. She has totally come to life once the tail has started to appear. I would love to stitch this but I'm rather daunted by it, she is fantastic, and I really admire your perseverance x
