Grow Your Blog!

It's nearly Grow Your Blog time.

The big day will be January 25th, but here's the kicker: I will be out of town and completely offline at that time.

So here is what I propose.  If anyone decides to follow me, please leave a comment below and I will be sure to follow you back upon my return.

Also, when my blog hits 50 followers, I will do a draw for a prize.  Nothing grandiose, but I think whoever wins will like it.

For those of you who would like to participate, see the handy-dandy link right to the right of you.  ------> > >

So don't be shy, leave your comments below. I love meeting new people.

I'd also like to add, that this post is 100% black cat approved!

    1. It's hard finding the time when you have so many hobbies on the go, isn't it? That's why I purposely never got too involved in stamping, because I knew it would seriously impede my stitching time!
But I do make cards on occasions, and love it!

  5. Your stitching is really great. I did a little cross stitch in high school and I've been eyeing some kits lately. I don't know if I'd get kicked out if I pick up one more hobby, but I doubt it since I'm the only one in the house that does laundry :) It's nice to visit your blog, and I'll be following.

    1. The fact that you do laundry gives you carte blanche to go hobby wild! I say pick up a kit and start stitching! We will cheer you all the way!

    1. Lorraine, he does that whenever I am stitching, which means he does it pretty much nightly! He rests his little face on my lap desk and snoozes, and when he dreams, he suckles, like a kitten. It's really cute!

    1. Hello, fellow Canadian (eh?)
      I followed you back!

We actually have quite a bit in common! I have a grandmother-in-law whom I adore who lives in Cambridge, and I am also a one-at-a-time stitcher (although I may be breaking that rule with this ginormous mermaid I have just started, just because I may need to take a break from her.)

I may be in Cambridge over the summer. If I am, perhaps we can meet in a coffee shop for an afternoon of stitching?

    1. Why thank you! I pick pattern that speak to me in some way. I find then, save the link, and if I keep going back to the pattern again and again, I will usually buy it, when I'm ready to start a new project.

My little black cat is a treat! He's a relatively new addition, we adopted him in the summer time. He had been surrendered to the SPCA, declawed. II hate that he has been declawed, and would like to slap the vet who did it, but his old owners loss is my gain. He is a delight! He loves to sit with me while I stitch and hardly ever bats at my threads! (Well almost never... hmmm, pretty regularly, if I'm being perfectly honest!)

  21. I read about your cruise! It sounded like it was just what you needed. Did you stop at St. Thomas? We went on a Caribbean cruise and St. Thomas got my pocketbook with the diamonds. :) New follower. So nice to meet you!

    1. I did stop in St. Thomas! We went on a Catamaran tour there and snorkeled at Honeymoon Bay. We saw stingrays AND turtles! I love, love, loved it!

We found the best shopping was in St. Maartin. Crazy sales there! My husband and I bought matching Movado watches for $300 for both of them. They usually retail for $500 each. Score! (And no, we didn't get them off of a street vendor, we got them from Diamonds International.)
      Where did your cruise stop?
