Adrift, Page 28 is Done

Page 28 started July 27 and finished Sept 4.  To say that August was hot was an understatement.  It was so hot that stitching was unbearable.  But page 28 is done. I'm now 82% complete.  After the next page and partial page, I will only have a full row and a partial row and she will be done!

She's getting so heavy, my little K's Creation stand is having trouble holding her up.  I hope I don't break my stand!

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my little floss cabinet.  For those of you on Facebook, I've created a group for storage ideas for our floss and stash.  It's open to anybody who would like to join.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/647348965424758/  It's still in its infancy, and I'm hoping more people post their storage ideas.

Now that the weather has turned a touch colder, I'm hoping to be able to get lots of stitching done.  In fact, my sister and I are having a stitching weekend this month in Pt. Angelas, which is about 1/2 way point for both of us to travel.   It will be good to see her. I love that she is stitching again.

Well, that's about all I have to report at this point in time.  Hopefully I will have an update for Snow soon.

    1. Thank you! I did enjoy my stitchy weekend. It's always funny, because the people at customs don't really believe I'm coming into the country to stitch with my sister. I always get a double look when I say that.

    1. Thanks! I'm almost finished my page of Snow, and I will be back on Adrift. I'm contemplating just plowing through her until she is complete. It's just so close!

  6. You got a lot done despite the heat! Glad it didn't slow you down too much. It's amazing that you are soooo close. At the risk of sounding sappy (or creepy...) you inspire me. It's easy enough to start these things but far more difficult to follow through to the end. I hope in a year or two my own projects are soooo close. :)

    1. It is amazing how two strategically placed fans will help! That and a big glass of ice cold water.
I'm really touched by your comment! I really am! I know it's really hard to stick with a large pattern and see it through, they just grow so boring after a while. That's why I only allow myself two patterns at any given time. If I'm finding it hard getting through a patch, I tell myself I only have to get to the end of the page and I can change it up. It serves as a reward of sorts to reach my goal of a page finish. Plus, I only have one on the frame at a time, so if I want to stitch (which is usually every night) that's my only option. These little tricks help me.
      What works for you?

    1. Rai Rai is a nickname I've had since I was a kid.
I hope the group takes off. Like I say, it's in it's infant stages at the moment, but I love seeing how others arrange and organize their stash. Sharing ideas is what it's all about! I'm glad you joined!
