Winter Hat Owl Progress, aka Blue, Blue and Blue
I just finished page 5 of Winter Hat Owl a couple of days ago, and I thought you might like to see the progress. The next page I actually get to start the hat. But until then, MOAR BLUE!
That being said, I'm already 32% done this project. I'm surprised by the amount of confetti in the actual owl. I guess I never really looked at the pattern that closely. Oh well, at least it's beautiful, vibrant bright colors - the antithesis of Adrift.
Enjoy. I'm already well into my next page of Adrift, and I should have an update for you in a few weeks time.

I can imagine all that blue feeling a bit monotonous at times! Well done with all the progress.
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit. It was actually 3 colors of blue, but at least the stitching was fast. There wasn't too much to really mess up! That was a bonus!
DeleteThats a lot of blue! But such a great project :)
ReplyDeleteI really like blue, but yeah, 37000 stitches of it was quite enough.
DeleteI love this owl, it will be great when you get to stitch it, so much blue, I think I would have just stitched the owl on pale blue fabric well done with it so far.
ReplyDeleteI definitely thought of that....after about 2 pages in.... Next time!
DeleteLovely blue progress so far. I bet you'll be glad to get onto some colour! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, will I!
DeleteWow, that's a lot of blue. I'm curious, how many different shades of blue are there in there?
ReplyDeleteIt is very pretty blue!
It's mostly 2 colors of blue, with the occasional stitch of a 3rd color. But the 3rd color is very sparse indeed. Like about an average of 4 stitches per page.
DeleteYou are such an amazing stitcher! Beautiful blue background and it's exciting that you have hit a bit of the own in the next page. Looking forward to more of beautiful Adrift! xo Alicia
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you! Such lovely words!
DeleteI don't know what it is about stitching, but if I could, I would sit on my bum all day and do nothing but stitch.
The owl is coming along beautifully, by the way. There is SO MUCH CONFETTI that I have taken to doing a line at a time using the parking method. It's so time consuming. I actually timed myself and each line takes me between 40 minutes to an hour. Just one line! But I am loving the colors and I'm loving the results. I couldn't have picked a more perfect project to bounce Adrift off of.
