Behold! I have finished the first line of pages.
These are pages 5 and 6. (Six was a partial page).
It has only taken me 6 months to get this first line done. Mother of dragons, what the hell have I gotten myself in to? 6 pages .... of 42! I'm going to be working on this piece for years!
BUT, the next page the mermaid makes her entrance. I'm excited to begin stitching that.
I still have my owl kitted up and ready to start, and I had intended to do a page of it as a break from all of the muted colors, but I'm so excited to start the mermaid that I think I will just soldier on. I'll maybe take a break at the end of this row of pages.
In any case, enjoy! I feel like I've accomplished something, even if it is only sky.

I can't believe I've only just found your blog thanks to you joining mine! Adrift looks wonderful and congratulations on finishing the first row! I shall enjoy going through all of your previous posts so watch out for some more comments soon...
ReplyDeleteHello to a fellow Rachel! I just happened to stumble upon your blog and I liked what I saw! Welcome to mine!
DeleteI do try to reply to every comment, so do check back and often!
And thanks for your lovely words on Adrift.
Wow you have done so well finishing the top row already! I like the muted colours.
ReplyDelete"Already" HA! It feels like I've been working on her for ages and ages. I find it takes me approximately a month per page, depending on how much I'm working. When I work, I don't have time to even put one single solitary stitch in.
DeleteThe confetti is about to start in earnest now, so I will probably be slower in updating. But I shall carry on.... one stitch at a time.
Great progress. Well done on finishing the first row. I'm looking forward to seeing the mermaid begin to appear.
ReplyDeleteOh, you and me both. This is the part that I've been looking forward to for 6 months. I can't wait to see her appear.
DeleteCongrats on finishing the first row!! Can't wait to see the owl ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mii. I probably will break from Adrift somewhere in this row to do a page of the Winter Owl. He is so cute and so bright. I'm going to really need him to save my sanity, I think.
